Dalai Lama to give 34th Kalchakra initiations in Bodh Gaya in January 2015.

Tibetan Prime Minister (Sikyong) Dr Lobsang Sangay on Wednesday announced that Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama will give the 34th Kalachakra initiations at Bodh Gaya in Bihar from January 15 to 25 next year.

"The 14th Kashag is immensely blessed that His Holiness the Dalai Lama has kindly consented to our request to give the Kalachakra initiation at Bodh Gaya," he said at a prayer service in Dharamshala.

The department of religion and culture of the Central Tibetan Administration will be mainly responsible for the Kalachakra teachings along with other co-sponsors. Since 1954, Dalai Lama has given 33 Kalachakra initiations, including four times at Bodh Gaya in 1974, 1985, 2003 and 2012.
