The Dalai Lama in Tibet?Sadly, no. But according to an article at Phayul.com, thousands of Tibetans lined the roads to Kumbum monastery (wiki) in Amdo (wiki) as rumors spread about the return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet.

Thousands of Tibetans have traveled to Kumbum monastery in Amdo (Qinghai province) in the past few days after rumors swept through the area that the Dalai Lama was going to be there, according to reports from Tibet. - Phayul.com

It was also noted that, when some of the pilgrims were told the Dala Lama was not coming to Amdo, where he was born, they asked if he was going to Lhasa instead. There was great sorrow when it was learned that the rumors were not true.

"It's also extremely puzzling to us," said Thubten Samphel, a spokesman for Tibet's government-in-exile. "He is in Dharamsala," he added, referring to the Indian hill station where he is based. (as reported at Reuters)
