The Dalai Lama is Reaching A Glorious Age

As the Dalai Lama approaches his 70th birthday on July 6th, thousands of Tibetans around the world begin to offer prayers asking His Holiness to live a long life, and plans are underway for a celebration in Dharamsala. The Tibetan Prime Minister explained that "... the Dalai Lama is reaching a glorious age and so we will commemorate the event in a much grander manner". According to Sify News, "Plans were still being finalized but the celebrations would include a carnival of Tibetan culture such as dance performances as well as religious seminars, administration officials said."
