Dalai Lama inaugurates monastery

Earlier today the Dalai Lama visited the Kais village [photo] where he inaugurated the Dhagpo Shedrup Ling Monastery, which had been founded in the late 15th century in the region of Dagpo in eastern Tibet. The Dalai Lama reminded Tibetans that they could keep their heritage alive by supporting India, and that going to a temple was not enough to attain peace. One must practice "sadhna", or the talking to one's soul, to achieve true peace [info].
